Wilmersdorf is part of the city-district of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf and is situated in the south of Charlottenburg and ne north of Steglitz-Zehlendorf. Being probably the greenest part of Berlin, it is considered a first-class and well-kept residential area. The old district of Wilmersdorf is elegant and exclusive, while other parts appear bourgeois or even provincial. This district is inconspicuous, yes, almost cozy, and a medium-sized residential area. It is bordered by the famous Kurfürstendamm and is considered es one of the best places to go out in Berlin. There are elegant restaurants, cafés and pubs especially around Olivaer Platz. There is an international flair and a high standard of living here.
The local transport in Wilmersdorf is very well developed. With S- and U-Bahn you can quickly get to the other parts of the city and the connection to the berlin urban motorway gives it a perfect infrastructure. There are countless parks such as the Volkspark Wilmersdorf. But also large-scale local recreation areas such as the Grunewald Forest or the Teufelsberg – which are easy to reach by bike or public transport.
Living in an apartment in Wilmersdorf means living in a more conservative area. There are numerous old buildings in the Wilhelmine style, but also city villas and noble single-family houses. The Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz is one of the most famous theater companies in Berlin and for the extraordinary experience there is the Bar jeder Vernunft and the Haus der Berliner Festspiele. Wilmersdorf is also known for its large number of sacred buildings. The apartments in Wilmersdorf usually bear witness to a rich history and here classic culture and modern architecture combined to create a unique living space.
